House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock in contention for Supergirl role
House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock is reportedly one of three stars being lined up to play Supergirl.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow was confirmed a year ago as part of James Gunn and Peter Safran's takeover of DC Studios.
However, potential casting details have remained under wraps until now, with Deadline reporting that CODA's Emilia Jones and Megan Donnelly (who has voiced Supergirl in Legion of Super-Heroes) are also set to be screen tested.

The site adds that the tests should take place in the next month or so, with Gunn involved in the process – however, a straight offer could still be made to one of the stars.
The Supergirl movie is set to adapt the Woman of Tomorrow comics series, the storyline following the titular Kara Zor-El as she seeks revenge against aliens.
"Superman is a guy sent to Earth and raised by loving parents, where Supergirl in this story, she is a character raised on a chunk of Krypton," Gunn previously revealed. "She watched everybody around her perish in some terrible way, so she's a much more jaded character."

While a director is yet to be confirmed, last year Gunn revealed that Ana Nogueira would be writing the screenplay.
The first movie under the new DC rebrand is Superman: Legacy, which will star David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as villain Lex Luthor.
Also on board are The Suicide Squad's Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Twilight's Edi Gathegi as Mr Terrific, Madame Web's Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, The Righteous Gemstones' Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Crisis' Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher.
