How To Train Your Dragon 2: Dragon Racing Shows Potter How It’s Done

Forget Quidditch, folks, dragon racing is what all the cool kids are doing these days.

Having grown up a bit and tamed their dragons, the young Vikings of Berk have turned their expertise into a sport involving fire-breathers and… erm… live sheep. Because why not?

This new clip from DreamWorks’ upcoming sequel ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ sees Astrid (America Ferrera) show off her superior skills on the pitch as she and her dragon Stormfly steal the super valuable black sheep - think ‘Golden Snitch, but bigger - in spectacular fashion to win the race.

Beat that, Potter.

But it’s not all fun and games as we return to Berk this summer. While Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and Toothless might have inspired harmony among their primitive community, there’s trouble in store when marauding dragon trappers with English accents begin exploring the Nordic seas.

Oh, and Hiccup’s long-lost dragon whisperer mother Valka (voiced by Cate Blanchett) is back on the scene too. Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler) is sure to be happy about that.

[Editor’s Note: We’re fairly certain that no sheep or dragons were harmed in the making of this movie.]

‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’ hits cinemas on 4 July 2014.
