It’s official – Hugh Jackman is amazing…
Especially when he’s grunting and screaming during a post-production recording session.
He may have played Wolverine for a staggering 17 years, but this is a side we’ve never seen of everyone’s favourite, adamantium-clawed mutant. Appearing on Instagram, he revealed a candid look at one of his ‘Logan’ recording sessions… and it’s the funniest thing you’ll see all day.
Clearly, Jackman is channelling a lot of rage in this hysterical (and slightly scary) new clip… But it’s absolutely amazing how easily he can turn it off at the very end of the video, when he calmly turns to the camera and simply says: “Hi”.
What a pro.
But besides the rather humorous take on his carnage-filled ‘Logan’ scenes, it also gives us an intriguing look at the film-making process. It’s a rare opportunity to take a peek at how these films are made… and it’s impressive to see how quickly Hugh Jackman is able to jump back into the aggressive mindset that he must have been in while filming those scenes.
And the end result is impressive.
At the end of that recording session, some of those guttural grunts and screams must have made it into the final movie… and it’s a testament to Jackman’s dedication that it sounds quite so brutally realistic.
I just can’t get over Jackman’s wolf-like grunts. Amazing.
