Yahoo Movies Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer to star in new Robin Hood movie
Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer are set to star in a new Robin Hood movie.
The Deadpool & Wolverine and Killing Eve stars are attached to appear in The Death Of Robin Hood, Deadline reports, which is described as a darker reimagining of the story.
The film will portray the outlaw as a battle-worn loner grappling with his past after a life of murder and crime. While badly injured, he finds himself in the hands of a mysterious woman, who offers salvation.

The project will be directed by A Quiet Place: Day One's Michael Sarnoski, with filming due to begin in February next year.
“It has been an incredible opportunity to reinvent and freshly innovate the story we all know of Robin Hood,” the director said.
“Securing the perfect cast to transform the script to screen was essential. I could not be more thrilled and trusting in Hugh and Jodie to bring this story to life in a powerful and meaningful way.”
Producers Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett added: “This is not the story of Robin Hood we’ve all come to know. Instead, Michael has crafted something far more grounded and visceral.

Robin Hood has been tackled on screen many times before, with another version in the pipeline called Robin and the Hood due to air on Sky starring James Bond's Naomie Harris and Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie.
Jackman will soon appear in Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine, where he will return to the role of Wolverine.
Comer also has a busy slate coming up, with the actor due to star in The Bikeriders as well as the upcoming 28 Days Later sequel 28 Years Later.
The Death Of Robin Hood is yet to confirm a release date.
