Human Traffic Sequel May Be On The Cards

‘Human Traffic’ is apparently getting a sequel.

According to Loaded, the 90s club classic will be getting a sequel… and this could mean the return of Jip, Moff and the rest of the gang.

“Human Traffic: The Revolution will be written and directed by original helmer Justin Kerrigan,” they revealed. “[It will] reportedly see members of the original cast reunite in Ibiza.”

‘Human Traffic’ starred John Simm, Lorraine Pilkington, Shaun Parkes, Nicola Reynolds, and Danny Dyer as a group of friends who head out on an extacy-fuelled weekend in Cardiff.

And with the film riding on the back of ‘Trainspotting’ it seems all too apt to see rumours of ‘Human Traffic 2’ appearing shortly after the official ‘Trainspotting’ sequel was announced.

“Little else is known about the follow-up, only that Parallax East are the company behind the project and Sally Hibbin (the ID film) is producing.”

But will it actually happen?

‘Human Traffic: The Revolution’ quietly appeared on Facebook back in March… and has been posting clips of the original movie ever since.

And this seems to be where Loaded may have gotten its information from.

“parallax are pleased to announce human traffic 2 set in cardiff and Ibiza,” says one of its Facebook posts. “written and directed by justin kerrigan”

Unfortunately, the page doesn’t exactly look like an official one… and it’s yet to be verified. But that hasn’t stopped original ‘Human Traffic’ star Danny Dyer from throwing his hat into the ring.

“Moff. One of my favourite characters ever,” he said via Twitter. “That’s all I’m saying on the matter. ;)”

Will ‘Human Traffic: The Revolution’ actually happen? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

But there are plenty of fans who would welcome it.
