Hunger Games: Josh Hutcherson filming Mockingjay in Atlanta

Peeta actor spotted near location of Mockingay shoot

COMMENT | With 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' in the can and not being released on DVD for at least a couple of months, 'Hunger Games' fans are looking towards the third 'Hunger Games' movie, 'Mockingjay: Part I' for any new snippets of information as they seek their latest Panem fix. And with news already breaking this week that the production of the third 'Hunger Games' movie are apparently currently located in Atlanta, the bones of this story have been further fleshed out with an apparent sighting of 'Hunger Games' star Josh Hutcherson.

The 'Hunger Games' star, who of course plays Peeta Mellark in the dystopian quadrilogy of sci-fi movies, was spotted this week in a local eatery, confirming suspicions that he is currently in the Georgian town to film scenes for the third 'Hunger Games' movie, 'Mockingjay: Part I'.

The filming schedule for 'Mockingjay' has certainly been fairly complex, as firstly the entire production had to cease for several weeks in order for the major players and members of the production team to engage in the whistle stop tour which is modern movie promotion. While Hutchesron, Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, et al have been hitting the chat shows, 'Mockingjay' was put on hiatus, but the production of the movie has been in swing now for nearly a couple of months.

Previously, Jennifer Lawrence had been spotted with Liam Hemsworth shooting some early scenes for 'Mockingjay', but she has now apparently taken some time out from her hectic shooting schedule to be involved in the promotion of another movie she has shot recently, 'American Hustle'. This film is receiving a very strong critical reception, and once again the hugely talented Lawrence's performance has been lauded.

It was thought that Lawrence's absence might have put back the schedule for 'Mockingjay: Part I', but with the revelation that shooting is taking place in Atlanta, and now the spotting of Hutcherson in a local bar, it is clear that some important preparatory work is currently taking place, even if the queen of the 'Hunger Games' series will be AWOL for some time.

'Mockingjay' is due to be released in November, 2014, and there has hitherto been no indication that we should expect the date which was set in stone some time ago to change.
