Idris Elba could join the cast of Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming and untitled movie about a Navy SEAL mission to kill Osama Bin Laden - he’s one of several names currently being linked to the movie.

The script, penned by Mark Boal, originally focused on a mission in 2001, but has been updated and undergone various revisions since Bin Laden was found and killed.

Joel Edgerton was on board to take the lead, but with roles in ‘300: Battle of Artemisia’ and ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E’ being added to his schedule, Deadline reports that he’s now been replaced by his ‘The Great Gatsby’ co-star Jason Clarke.

Elba, Guy Pearce, Tom Hardy, Jennifer Ehle, Rooney Mara and Nina Arianda are the other actors currently in talks for the film, which is set to shoot early next year.
