'I'm A Celebrity' campmates shocked by double eviction of Victoria Derbyshire and Beverley Callard

Watch: I’m A Celeb stars dealt double eviction

I’m A Celebrity’s campmates were in for a shock on Monday when they were told that two of them would be leaving immediately in a double eviction.

Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire were the contestants with the fewest public votes who were booted out of camp.

They follow Ruthie Henshall who was evicted on Sunday, and Hollie Arnold who became the first celebrity to leave the show on Friday.

It is a slightly shorter series this year, with the winner due to be crowned on Friday, so tonight two celebs needed to clear out of the castle to get to the right number of finalists.

During their eviction interview, Ant and Dec quizzed Callard about her revealing chat in the camp where she had said that she called husband John “Megashag”.

Looking embarrassed, Callard said: “My mum-in-law is going to kill me.”

As Ant and Dec asked her whether she had realised there would be cameras on her all the time, she said: “You just forget though. I don’t know what else to say.”

Callard also defended her vegan credentials after speculation that she had switched to a plant-based diet to avoid some of the more disgusting I’m A Celebrity trials.

She saidL “I started it in March because I had an operation and I saw a documentary that said your joints heal better if you’re plant based.”

Discussing the camp’s ongoing “phantom dribbler” controversy in which the celebrities have been trying to work out who keeps urinating on the floor of the toilet, Callard and Derbyshire were unanimous in accusing Shane Richie.

Derbyshire said: “I think it’s Shaney, he’ll go mad at us for saying that.”

Nodding, Callard confirmed: “It’s Shane.”

Also in the bottom three of the public vote was Russell Watson, although he stays in camp this time.

Earlier in the episode, Watson took on the trial Rancid Rotisserie, which left presenters Ant and Dec in fits of giggles.

He was strapped to a rotisserie and turned through a vat of batter, having to answer general knowledge questions and being covered in molasses and feathers each time he got a question wrong.

Despite being proud of winning five of 10 stars and feeling that he’d contributed to camp life, his co-stars complained that five portions of duck between 10 of them for dinner did not fill many stomachs.

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
