The I’m A Celebrity camp has been joined by two new stars who made their entrance with a gruesome trial.
Classical singer Russell Watson and stage star Ruthie Henshall are this year’s late entries to the show’s line-up and met their campmates while performing tasks for them that included crushing fish eyes in their mouths.
Performers Watson and Henshall took part in three trials on a stage with the other celebrities as their audience, watching them get covered in rotten tomatoes, dip their faces in fish guts, and show off their dance moves whilst wearing trousers filled with cockroaches.
But the most revolting trial involved them placing fish eyes into ice cream containers with their mouths, then crushing fish eyes with their teeth over the top of the bowls.
It was a good first impression despite both being covered in rotting food and Watson chipping his tooth, as the new campers won 11 stars - but some of the original line-up struggled with the idea of expanding their group.
Shane Richie said: "There's 10 of us now, we've been together four days. We know each other really well. We're eating, sleeping, laughing, crying together and for another two people to come in you're always frightened.
“It's going to change the dynamics and we were kind of concerned about that."
Vernon added: "I would be genuinely upset if this dynamic changes."
But Giovanna Fletcher and Victoria Derbyshire gave up their beds for the new additions to make them feel welcome, and all seemed happy in camp for their first night.
Meanwhile, Jordan North has been chosen once again to take part in the next trial, which will air tomorrow night.
I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow night at 8pm on ITV.
