Has Infinity War's second villain been revealed?

Superhero movies rarely come with only a single villain. After all, our heroes need more than one person to punch in a two hour plus movie.

Captain America: Civil War toyed with the idea of the Avengers punching each other rather than the bad guys, but it looks like their next outing will be bringing more than one bad guy to the big screen.

All signs point to the fact that Josh Brolin's Thanos will be joined in Avengers: Infinity War by his comic book second in command, the deadly warrior Corvus Glaive.

Well-established motion capture actor Terry Notary recently revealed some hints about his role in the movie.

"I'm working with Josh Brolin and three other actors, and I'm playing Josh Brolin's right-hand bad guy in the film," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

"I can't say the name of the character or I think Marvel will sever my head, but I apply those same principles of what it means to drop bullshit and just play a character [that's] truly evil. And it's working. It's truly working."

This strongly hints at Notary playing Glaive, with his three fellow actors playing other members of Thanos's crack troops, the Black Order.

Notary is listed on IMDB as 'Cul Obsidian', a misspelling of the group's alternate name, the Cull Obsidian.

This theory has also been supported by pictures from the set of Avengers: Infinity War in a motion capture suit and holding a weapon that looks very much like Glaive's... uh... glaive.

Notary's credits include Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Warcraft and the titular role in Kong: Skull Island.

Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Benicio del Toro, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie will all feature in Avengers: Infinity War's all-star cast.

The movie be released in the UK on April 27, 2018, and follows in the US on May 4, 2018.
