Model responds after being accused of botched Photoshop job: 'I even have a video'

An Instagram influencer caught some unwanted attention after several followers pointed out the photos she said she took in front of Paris’ Eiffel Tower looked fake.

Jess Hunt (@jesshunt2) posted a series of pictures posing in the same spot in front of the Eiffel Tower with the caption, “One of my fave cities.”

But her followers thought something was a little off about the photos and accused Hunt of Photoshopping.

Commenters pointed out a faint green tint outlining Hunt in the photos — suggesting she might have used a green screen — and several users also pointed out that her feet look like they’re “floating,” especially in the first picture.

But what seemed to be the biggest red flag to commenters was the shot of the Eiffel Tower in the back, which appears to have cars driving under it, which is impossible at the real-life Eiffel Tower. The visual is most clearly seen in the video Hunt posted.

Followers were unimpressed with Hunt’s post and had no qualms calling her out.

“Can’t unsee the Photoshop,” a person wrote under the post.

“It’s all completely Photoshopped,” another said in response to someone else. “She may have been to Paris, but why [do] these young women feel the need to Photoshop everything? [It’s] scary.”

Some commenters — who mostly seem like other influencers based on their verification icon — defended Hunt.

“Why are you so bothered?” an influencer with 23,000 followers asked. “If you want reality, switch on the news!”

One commenter took it upon themself to reply to every comment praising Hunt’s photo with “it’s fake” or “it’s Photoshopped.”

Daily Mail Australia contacted the model on Oct. 26 and she defended the images to the publication, saying, “These pictures weren’t Photoshopped; I was genuinely there. I even have a video on the Instagram post of me in front of the Eiffel Tower.”

Hunt is also the founder of REFY, a beauty brand she said she started “in line with my values of quality and authenticity.”
