Some people have too much time on their hands... and in the case of the person who has re-edited 'Star Wars' so that the dialogue is in alphabetical order, waaaaay too much.

The scale of this feat of editing is genuinely baffling, but nevertheless, it's happened and we can't do anything about it now, other than perhaps show concern for graduate Tom Murphy, who is behind it. Watch it above.

He's even been good enough to list some of the fun facts he encountered while putting the 43-minute video together, and some of them are genuinely remarkable, notably that the word 'lightsaber' is uttered just once, and the word 'Jedi' is said the same number of times as the word 'uncle'.

“I labeled the words manually (!) using some software I wrote specifically for the purpose,” he writes.

Not sure what it does for the film's narrative, but as a labour of love, you have to take your hat off... and then start slowly backing away.
