Yahoo Movies Inside Out 2's new trailer confirms Ayo Edebiri's role
Inside Out 2 has given a glimpse into Riley's mind as she welcomes four new emotions in a brand new trailer, including Ayo Edebiri's Envy.
The follow-up to Pixar's acclaimed 2015 movie has added The Bear star as the ambivalent emotion, with Passages star Adèle Exarchopolous and Black Bird's Paul Walter Hauser lending their voices to Ennui and Embarrassment respectively.
The trio joins the previously announced Anxiety, voiced by Stranger Things' Maya Hawke.

Judging by the new trailer, the 5 OG emotions — Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale taking over from Bill Hader) and Disgust (Liza Lapira replacing Mindy Kaling) — will have a hard time coordinating with the newcomers to ensure Riley has the best possible experience as she begins high school.
Anxiety seems to be especially meddling and controlling, going as far as bottling up the original emotions to be finally in charge.
The new chapter is set to follow the protagonist now entering adolescence, touching on all the typical nightmare-inducing scenarios of puberty and trying to make new friends in a hostile environment.

Speaking at the D23 Expo last year, Poehler teased the arrival of a new set of emotions saying: "I guess I won't tell them about the new emotions that show up. Inside Out 2 comes out summer of 2024."
For this new chapter, Kelsey Mann steps behind the camera taking over from previous director Pete Docter, whilst original Inside Out co-writer Meg LeFauve is back to write the screenplay.
Giving an insight into Hawke's character, Mann explained: "Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she's not really the type to take a back seat. That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds."
Inside Out 2 will be released in cinemas in June 2024.
