Tottenham fans on have been left holding onto faith after a picture of Mickey ven de Ven emerged on social media ahead of his scan.
The Dutch defender is expected to undergo a scan to determine the extent of his damage after withdrawing from the game against Chelsea on Monday night.
From first look the defender is likely to be away for a while but until a full diagnosis is made after a scan every Tottenham fan is hoping that his absence will be as short as possible.
Tottenham are hoping to bounce back immediately when they travel to Wolves for their league game this weekend before hosting Aston Villa in the Premier League.
They had started the season with eight wins and two draws before the home defeat against Chelsea brought along injuries to star players James Maddison and Ven de Ven.
They will also be without Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie who were both sent off in the game which ultimately meant everything spiralled out of control for Ange Postecoglou's side.
Eric Dier who looked at some point on his way out of the club is now set for a pivotal role in the team as well as 18-year-old Philipns who was signed this summer and is yet to start a league game for the club.
