ISLE of Wight band Wet Leg have not won once but won TWICE at the 2023 Grammy Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night (February 5).

Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Joshua Mobararki, Henry Holmes and Elis Durand, aka Wet Leg band, won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, with their self-titled debut Wet Leg, released on April 8 last year.

Alongside that, Wet Leg also won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Performance for 'Chaise Longue', which was shared with the world for the first time back in June 2021.

First awarded the Best Alternative Music Performance Grammy, lead vocalist Rhian accepted the trophy, saying: "This is so funny, thanks so much! What are we doing here? I don't know. But here we are!

"This year has been so surprising. Starting this band has been such a surprise and being on the roads.

"We couldn't have done it without our amazing crew, and that all started with Karima Kingsley, so I just want to give a really big thank you to her. And Alayna, Martin, Lawrence and Jordan and all of our amazing team!

The categories were called directly after one another, seeing Wet Leg brought back to the stage just seconds later to collect their second Grammy of the night, for Best Alternative Music Album.

Henry, the band's drummer, accepted the second award, saying: "This is just a magical evening.

"There are so many people out there that we should thank, and my mind has gone blank, and I feel like I might wet myself. I'm getting a bit... It's getting a bit much!

"Thank you to everyone who has helped us do this, thank you to all you guys. We're all one big f*cked-up family!"
