Jack Nicholson retirement rumours denied
Sources close to the actor call the talk '100% false'.
Jack Nicholson may not be retiring after all.
Rumours emanating from RadarOnline yesterday suggested that the 76-year-old actor had, 'without fanfare', quit the movie business.
It was said the reason for this move was memory loss, and that he now struggles to remember lines.
[Has Jack Nicholson retired from acting?]
However, the talk has now been denied.
Maria Shriver from NBC - the journalist and ex-wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, so someone with a few contacts - has told E! News that the reports are '100% false' and that Jack is not suffering from any kind of memory loss.
She went on to add that sources close to the legendary actor have said that he is still actively reading new scripts.
[Nicolas Cage: No plans to retire]
This isn't a direct denial from the actor himself, but then the original story came from a 'Hollywood insider'.
And this way, if he's not about to finally claim his free bus pass, his last film might not be the box office bomb 'How Do You Know', released in 2010.
With all the swirling rumour, one would hope clarification may come from the actor – or at least his reps – soon...
