Jackman in talks for X-Men sequel?

Hugh Jackman is apparently in negotiations to reprise his Wolverine role in the X-Men sequel.

The Australian star, who popped up briefly in X-Men: First Class, could be making another cameo in X-Men: Days Of Future Past alongside Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart, reported Heat Vision blog.

Bryan Singer, who directed the two original X-Men films, will be taking control of the follow-up to Matthew Vaughn's 2011 movie. It is scheduled for release in summer 2014.

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will return as Charles Xavier and Magneto respectively, along with Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult in the next instalment, which takes place before the events of the original trilogy and will incorporate two alternate timelines.

The filmmaker previously tweeted: "I'd like to officially welcome back James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, & Nicholas Hoult to #XMEN for #DaysOfFuturePast.

"Thrilled to announce @ianmckellen118 & @SirPatStew are joining the cast of #XMEN #DaysOfFuturePast #magneto #professorX More to come..." he later added.

Hugh - who has received huge acclaim for his performance as Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's Les Miserables - is wrapping on the Wolverine sequel, which focuses on the hero's struggle with immortality.
