YouTube sensation Jake Paul will make his second appearance as a professional boxer against former NBA player Nate Robinson on the undercard of the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr exhibition bout in Los Angeles tonight.

Paul - following in the footsteps of elder brother Logan - made his debut against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in Miami in January, easily battering his way to an emphatic first-round stoppage.

He now faces another boxing newcomer in Robinson, a former NBA Slam Dunk champion and point guard with multiple teams including the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls.

It is certainly not a bout that will please the fight traditionalists, but the popularity of the combatants - Paul especially - should guarantee huge interest and a sizable audience.

Why are Paul and Robinson fighting?

Ex-basketball star Robinson, now 36, says he wants to prove that he’s a “world-class athlete”.

He made it clear he “wanted all the smoke” when calling out Paul for the first time earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Paul’s move into boxing follows that of his sibling Logan.

Jake fought on the undercard of Logan’s first bout with fellow internet star KSI in 2018, beating KSI’s younger brother Deji.

Paul vs Robinson date and venue

Jake Paul vs Nate Robinson takes place tonight (Saturday, November 28, 2020) at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Paul vs Robinson tickets

There are no tickets available for this event, which is being held without fans due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Paul vs Robinson prediction

The nature of this bout and inexperience of both men makes it a tough fight to call with any confidence.

But Paul - at 23, 13 years younger than Robinson - does at least have a couple of contests under his belt.

We’ll plump for him to take an unusual fight on points.
