New James Bond movie gets disappointing update
The next James Bond movie has been given a disappointing update, with a studio boss saying they are "not concerned" with the gap between films.
The last instalment in the long-running spy franchise, No Time to Die, was released three years ago, the movie acting as Daniel Craig’s swansong as 007.
Since then, there has been no information on his replacement or plans for the next movie – and it seems fans may have to wait longer to hear anything further.

“There are a lot of ideas [about potential actors] that have popped up that I thought are interesting,” Amazon MGM Studios’ global head Jennifer Salke told The Observer. “I think there are a lot of different ways we can go.
“We have a good and close relationship with Eon and [producers] Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [G Wilson]. We are not looking to disrupt the way those wonderful films are made. For us, we are taking their lead.
“The global audience will be patient,” she added. “We don’t want too much time between films, but we are not concerned at this point.”

Earlier this year, Broccoli shared another disappointing update on the franchise, admitting that "nothing is happening yet" in terms of the next movie.
"There’s nothing I can tell you about the next Bond film," she told Deadline. "There’s nothing. Nothing is happening yet."
Later in March, reports emerged that Aaron Taylor-Johnson was being lined up to be the next Bond – though a production insider later claimed there was "no truth in the rumours".
In other news, Q actor Ben Whishaw admitted last month he would return to the franchise if asked, though suggested “it might need a new lease of life and a whole new group of people”.
