James Bond stars join new spy thriller by Steven Soderbergh
Steven Soderbergh's upcoming thriller Black Bag has just added two James Bond actors to its starry cast.
The spy film, previously announced to star Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Regé-Jean Page and Marisa Abela, has now added both Pierce Brosnan and Naomie Harris.
Brosnan, known for playing James Bond between 1995 and 2002, and Harris, who portrayed M's secretary Eve Moneypenny in Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die, are set to join the cast when production begins in May (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The two 007 stars aren't the only new addition to Soderbergh's spy story, whose plot details are being kept under wraps. Alongside Brosnan and Harris, Tom Burke, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Orson Welles in David Fincher's biopic Mank, is also due to appear in Black Bag.
The Oscar-winning director has been pretty busy these last few years. Following the success of his 2022 movie Kimi, Soderbergh returned to direct Channing Tatum in the third instalment of the Magic Mike series, Magic Mike's Last Dance.
More recently, the filmmaker helmed psychological thriller Presence, presented at Sundance earlier this year and starring Lucy Liu, Julia Fox and This Is Us's Chris Sullivan.

Meanwhile, Burke will star in the hotly anticipated prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road focusing on the origin story of Imperator Furiosa. With Anya Taylor-Joy in the titular role, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga also stars Chris Hemsworth, Lachy Hulme, Nathan Jones, John Howard, Angus Sampson, Quaden Bayles, Daniel Webber and Charlee Fraser.
Burke joined the film in an undisclosed role, replacing Candyman's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II who had to exit the project due to a scheduling conflict.
Black Bag is yet to receive a release window.
