This one is a keeper…

Jamie Lee Curtis took to her Instagram page yesterday to post a real gem of a shot – her recreating the iconic shower scene from ‘Psycho’.

As film buffs will know, it was Jamie Lee’s mum Janet Leigh who was the star Hitchcock famously killed off so very early on in the film.

Here she’s pulling out the same terrified yelp.

And it appears that the picture might not be all we’re being treated to by way of tribute either.

In the caption, Lee Curtis says that a 'shot-by-shot’ remake of the scene has been filmed for 'Scream Queens’, the forthcoming horror-comedy anthology show from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, of 'American Horror Story’ fame.

In it Curtis stars as the dean of fictional Wallace University, at which a series of murders befall the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house.

'Just recreated, with help from the amazing crew, a shot by shot of my mother’s famous shower scene from Hitchcock’s PSYCHO for @screamqueensfox #screamqueens.

“Ryan Murphy and co. wrote it into a special episode and it felt right! Honoring the Royal legend that is/was/will always be, Janet Leigh. Thought all fans of the genre would love it #honorthymother.”

The series, which also stars Lea Michele, Emma Roberts and Skyler Samuels, premieres on Fox in the US on September 22.
