Jane Seymour is raving about Lindsay Lohan's performance in their upcoming film together!

The actress, 73, spoke to PEOPLE at the 17th Annual WIF Women Oscar Nominees Party on Friday about working with Lohan, 37, on their new Netflix rom-com Irish Wish.

As she explains, she plays the mother of Lohan's character in the "really cute" movie — and her onscreen daughter was "terrific."

"I mean, this is a big comeback for her, but she's fantastic," Seymour says. "Yeah, she was great. I mean, I watched everything she did when she was younger, and I think she's in a really good place right now, and she's terrific in it."

Seymour adds that she felt Lohan's comeback energy on set, and that the duo eventually met despite not filming any of their scenes in the same location.

"We met actually in Ireland. I think I had a fitting, and she was in the middle of doing a scene, but we stopped and chatted, and we spent a little time together in New York a few days ago," she says. "We just kind of caught up and talked about children and life and things like that."

In Irish Wish, which debuts on Netflix on March 15, Seymour and Lohan round out a cast that also includes Ed Speleers, Ayesha Curry and Alexander Vlahos. Seymour tells PEOPLE that "everyone's excited about" the film, which follows Lohan as she plays Maddie, a woman whose best friend gets engaged to a man whom Maddie assumed was the love of her life.

“It’s a nice story of luck and love and confidence,” Lohan previously told Tudum of the movie. "Maddie’s [one of the only] characters that I’ve played [who’s] a woman on her own making her way in the world. We shaped her in a way that she was a bit more insecure in the beginning, and then she grows throughout the movie, and by the end, she really comes into her own."

"It’s important to put yourself first and know your worth. If you know you deserve better, go for it and get it," she added.

Irish Wish arrives amid Lohan's Hollywood comeback, after she last starred in the 2022 holiday film Falling for Christmas — also directed by Janeen Damian — and made a cameo in the Mean Girls movie musical earlier this year.

Lohan also has her sights set on the highly-anticipated sequel to 2003's Freaky Friday. Speaking with PEOPLE last week, the actress shared that the movie is “in the process,” and that she is “just excited to work with Jamie [Lee Curtis] again and see how much further we can take it.”

“Because we talk almost every other day in general, so I think we're going to have a lot of fun with this,” Lohan added.

Irish Wish releases on Netflix on March 15, in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
