Rep. Jim Jordan's 'Trump Is The Leader’ Of The GOP Tweet Goes Awry
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan boldly declared on Twitter Wednesday that one-term ex-President Donald Trump “is the leader” of the GOP.
President Trump is the leader of the Republican Party.

The Ohio Republican ― the latest in a long line of Trump sycophants appearing to suggest the party will implode without the former president ― received a series of stinging reminders in response.
Many critics recalled Trump’s 2020 election defeat to President Joe Biden, and the GOP loss of its House and Senate majorities to Democrats during Trump’s era:
Keeping Donald Trump as the face and leader of the Republican party after decisive electoral defeats in 2018 and 2020 that gave Democrats the House, Senate and White House? Please proceed. https://t.co/PGBAK68kUo

When you lose the House, Senate and White House under a party's leader, it might be time to find a new one. https://t.co/p43BHpSQCD

Great! He's just led your party into losing the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.
By all means, keep him in charge. https://t.co/3n72Razc3e— Lisa Bloom (@LisaBloom) February 25, 2021

That's why the Democrats have both houses of Congress and the Presidency. https://t.co/lxYU1NZn05

LOL. This isn't admitting what you think it's admitting. Remember January 6th? Remember the insurrectionists? Yeah, the Former Guy is the leader of those people. Thanks for confirming. Again. https://t.co/Wz7xpklbk5

Right! Because he won re-election! No, wait. Because he won back the House for you! No, wait. Because he kept the Senate for you! No, wait. Because he kept Georgia red! No, wait. This is your "leader"? #Trump https://t.co/x6eXBA77CE

I know Jim. I'm so sorry. I can't imagine the anguish you must feel. May the memory of the sane Republican Party be a blessing to you https://t.co/e5KLr3g5lf
