J.K. Simmons: Commissioner Gordon Is Not A Big Part Of Justice League

J.K. Simmons has not only revealed that he’s already finished his work on ‘Justice League’ but he’s also admitted that his role as Commissioner Jim Gordon in the blockbuster isn’t actually that big.

The Academy Award winning actor made this confession to Entertainment Tonight, declaring after being asked how filming is going, “My part is done.”

“They are filming that for basically most of 2016, so some of the superheroes are still at work in jolly old London, but I’m back home with my family.”

Simmons was then quizzed about who he got to spend most of his scenes as Commissioner Jim Gordon with, which led him to remark, “Yeah, mostly with Ben [Affleck]. In this first instalment of the ‘Justice League’, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizeable part.”

“We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman – and with most of the Justice League.”

Despite not being on set for too long, J.K Simmons admitted that he had a “really fun” time on set, adding, “Zack [Snyder] runs sort of a big, happy family” as well as noting that he’s a “nice, smart, competent [and] fun” man who he didn’t mind “spending a 12-hour day with.”

Which, off the back of the poor critical response to ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, is probably the nicest thing that ‘s been said about Zack Snyder in a while.
