Joe Sugg has said that he ‘hasn’t time’ for romance with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Dianne Buswell, after rumours that the pair had got together following Buswell’s split with her boyfriend.

He also slated ‘easily offended’ millennials in strange remarks evoking World War II.

Speaking to The Sun, the 27-year-old YouTube star who has more than a billion views of his videos online, he said: “Now we live in a world where if you slip up once, you’re going to have to pay the consequences your whole life.

“I feel we have to tread on eggshells so much now.

“I wonder what would happen now if we had a world war,” he went on.

“When WWII happened, if you were fit and able, you were in the Army, regardless if you wanted to be or not.

“Now it would be interesting to see how people react to it and what excuses would be made to get out of doing something like that.”

As for the rumours swirling around his relationship with Buswell, he said: “No, I don’t think so. I haven’t got time.

“But after the show finishes we’ll stay friends.”

The 29-year-old pro-dancer split up with her actor boyfriend, Emmerdale star Anthony Quinlan, last week, after 10 months of dating.

Joe and Dianne performed a viennese waltz to The Rainbow Connection last week, and will perform a foxtrot to Youngblood’s 5 Seconds of Summer on this weekend’s Halloween special.
