John Travolta says he plays Monopoly with real money
Hollywood megastar John Travolta has revealed he takes boardgames to a whole new level by admitting that he plays Monopoly with real life money.
While using the original fake notes may be the cause of fiery fallouts for a lot of families, the Saturday Night Fever actor ups the stakes even further when he plays.
During a discussion on The Late Late Show, Travolta asked James Corden's other guests, Aaron and Sam Taylor-Johnson if they ever used "real cash" in the game after they explained their passion for Monopoly.
They said they didn't, prompting the 65-year-old to reply: "That's the way to do it."
When asked if that's what he really did, the Grease star responded: "Yes, but look, it's $20, it's $100. I think the totality is $2,000, I think, if you replace the whole thing."
However, there's no gambling for him when it comes to Vegas as he said he "doesn't do that".
It's not all wins for Travolta though when it comes to his career, as while he has some impressive credits under his belt, including Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty and American Crime Story, his latest picture didn't fare so well at the box office.
The Fanatic, a film which saw him play a man with autism obsessed with a horror actor played by Devon Sawa, earned less than £50 per venue on its opening Friday.
The movie, which was directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, was panned by critics after its release this summer.
In spite of that, it seems his hat has been thrown in the ring in the Oscar's race.
