Jordan Peele's next movie gets Xmas 2024 release

Nope director Jordan Peele's next movie will hit the big screen on Christmas Day 2024.

This spine-tingling news comes from Variety, which reported that Universal Pictures is once again teaming up with the Oscar winner for his mysterious project.

As is tradition with the filmmaker's releases in their infancy, details are non-existent at the moment, but Peele's work tends to completely reimagine well-trodden genres.

While we await Daniel Kaluuya's inevitable casting, Peele recently weighed in on the ending of their last collaboration Nope, which climaxed with the actor's OJ Haywood seemingly surviving a close encounter with Jean Jacket, the shapeshifting monstrosity disguising itself as a UFO.

"I think I made a film that has a very clear sequence of events as to what happened. I think it is very clear, and I will leave that at that," he told The New York Times.

"When a story works, it's because I'm tapping into a story within somebody. What I find interesting is, what did you first think? I know what I thought, but what you thought is what's more important to me."

Meanwhile, Emerald Haywood actress Keke Palmer had this to say about the western horror's parting shot: "There definitely are questions about it. I think that [people's] feelings of questioning it are true.

"It's one of those things that we'll never really know. I've gone back and forth to 'no' and then I've gone back to 'yes', and then I've gone back to 'no'.

"I don't know and we're never going to know unless there's another movie. That's the only way we would know [if OJ was really alive]," she suggested.
