Josh O'Connor lands next lead movie role
The Crown's Josh O'Connor has found his next lead movie role in Separate Rooms.
Variety reports this one will mark a reunion between the actor and his Challengers director Luca Guadagnino, who is adapting late author Pier Vittorio Tondelli's 1989 novel alongside screenwriter Francesca Manieri (We Are Who We Are).
Despite not being contractually attached to the project yet, O'Connor has apparently been learning Italian in preparation.

Separate Rooms centers on 30-something writer Leo, who meets a young pianist by the name of Thomas while passing through Paris on his European travels. The duo begin a long love affair, journeying across different cities together over a three-year period.
"The two meet when they wish, but live separately, secluding themselves in their respective loneliness, though they often write each other. At one point, Thomas starts an affair with a girl, which makes Leo deeply jealous. Then Thomas is diagnosed with an illness that will lead to his death in his hometown of Munich," adds a description.
The Tondelli book is divided into three parts, switching between flashbacks and reflections.
In other news, O'Connor's Challengers co-star Zendaya previously explained why their hot tennis drama is lacking in sex scenes.

"What Luca's really good at is finding sensuality and desire. There's so much in just glances. The tension builds. Not having the release is a good thing sometimes," she told Empire Magazine.
O'Connor himself went on to share: "The tennis is the sex. Those moments are so sexy. The film is dealing with the tension before and after. The sex they're all desperate for is on the court."
Challengers hits UK cinemas on April 26.
