Julia Stiles has opened up about working with late 10 Things I Hate About You co-star Heath Ledger.
The star was discussing the teen rom-com on talkshow Watch What Happens Live, and she revealed which was her favourite day on set.
The movie saw Stiles’ character Kat be slowly won over by Ledger’s roguish bad-boy Patrick, with a key scene seeing the Aussie star serenading her with Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
She told show host Andy Cohen: "My favourite memory of that day—the whole day, he was just phenomenal.
"I mean, like, running up and down those stadium steps and nobody knew that he had this amazing voice. He just went full out and I got to watch it."
She also addressed rumours it was Styles herself who suggested the idea for the now famous scene.
When asked there was any truth it in, she joked: "Yes,” before admitting: "No, it was definitely not my idea. I wish…I'll take credit for it."
The movie was a was Ledger’s first in Hollywood, and would be the first of a short but stellar career which saw him nominated for a Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role playing Enis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain in 2006.
He went on to win an Oscar in 2009, being awarded a Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role Oscar for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight.
Sadly, the award came in February 2009, just over a year after his untimely death by accidental overdose.
As well as Ledger and Stiles, 10 Things I Hate About You was also a springboard to success for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who played dorky Cameron in the movie.
He went on to star The Dark Knight sequel The Dark Knight Rises, playing police officer John Blake, as well as roles in blockbusters such as Inception and Lincoln.
