Jumanji: The Next Level's Karen Gillan was "lethal" with nunchucks

Jumanji: The Next Level star Karen Gillan has revealed that she was "lethal" with nunchucks.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Gillan said that she "felt like Chuck Norris" when using the nunchucks, but they took a lot of practice to master.

"I'm lethal with them and I would drop them a lot, which was quite worrying for people. There were so many bruises on other people, because I kept practicing and then they'd fly off and hit someone in the face or somewhere else," she recalled.

"I kept thinking, 'Oh no… I really need to be careful with the nunchucks!'. It was such a cool thing to learn that I never thought I would get to do in my life."

Gillan added that she kept a pair of them and will use them at some point, handily pointing out: "Probably not in real life, but maybe in another movie. Hopefully."

At the European premiere for Jumanji: The Next Level, her co-stars revealed that there's a Marvel star they'd love to imitate in a potential sequel, along with some other bold suggestions.

Earlier this month, Gillan spoke to Digital Spy about her directorial debut The Party's Just Beginning, and opens up about Nebula's big twist in Avengers: Endgame and the future of the character.

Jumanji: The Next Level is released in UK cinemas on December 11 and US cinemas on December 13, with previews in UK cinemas on December 7 and 8.
