Releasing in cinemas on 10 June, Jurassic World Dominion rounds out the epic dino-franchise which began in 1993 with Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park by bringing together old and new faces.

The sixth installment in the series is set four years after the dinosaurs of Jurassic World were released into the wild at the end of 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with our favourite doctors and park staff reckoning with a new ecosystem that has been unleashed across the globe.

A mammoth task calls for an all-star team, seeing the return of some familiar faces from the original Jurassic Park trilogy.

While another threat to humanity hangs by a dino-chewed thread in its 146 minute runtime, who can we expect to see back in Jurassic World Dominion?

Chris Pratt as Owen Grady

Chris Pratt is back to spearhead his third escape from the jaws of prehistoric monsters. As Navy veteran and ethologist Owen Grady, his job as a Velociraptor trainer helps to fend off unwanted attacks while winning the heart of park operations manager, Claire.

Headstrong and a stickler for justice, his ties to hand-reared raptor Blue often get him into trouble. We last saw him driving off to an unknown destination in Fallen Kingdom, after being imprisoned at Lockwood Manor alongside returning support cast Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon).

Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing

As Jurassic World operations manager and Owen Grady’s on-off love interest, Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire often has the weight of the dino-torn world on her shoulders. A self-proclaimed workaholic with a typical Type A personality, her organisation and attention to detail can make a difference between life and death.

She goes on to form the Dinosaur Protection Group, focussing on preservation and the rights of dinosaurs as a species. After escaping Isla Nublar in Jurassic World, she returned alongside Grady in Fallen Kingdom, becoming legal guardians of Maisie Lockwood.

BD Wong as Henry Wu

The first to cross over from the original 90s franchise into Jurassic World, BD Wong is the true dinosaur OG. A major character in the original novel, his presence in the franchise took a backseat after 1993's Jurassic Park — but is still essential.

Responsible for recreating all dinosaurs seen across the movies and spinoffs, his intelligence and devotion to science does more harm than good. As our central antagonist, his good relationships with other characters often turn impatient. We last saw his lab exploding after a fight with Blue triggered a flammable gas tank in Fallen Kingdom.

Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler

The first of the infamous trio returning from the original Jurassic Park series, Laura Dern and her pink shirts are heading back to the lab.

Playing paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler, her feisty and adventurous side frequently saves her colleagues’ bacon, while her deep love for dinos shows a maternal care that puts the concerns of her male counterparts in the shade.

Making her debut in the iconic jeep chases of the 1993 original, she has so far only reappeared in Jurassic Park III, rebuilding bonds with her ex-boyfriend Alan Grant while playing an important role in his safety in the threequel.

Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm

Way before the internet loved him for his jaunty outfits and chilled out charm, Jeff Goldblum joined the 90s Jurassic Park cast as mathematician Ian Malcolm.

Known for bringing ‘Chaos Theory’ to the dinosaurs (a study of unpredictable behaviour), he’s the first to note the site is an accident waiting to happen. An overconfident know-it-all who doesn’t shy away from being ironic, his unique sense of humour is a welcome addition to moments of grave danger.

Alongside appearing in Jurassic Park and The Lost World, we saw him again in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, appearing in court testify about the fate of the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar.

Sam Neill as Alan Grant

Originally invited into the fold by park top dog John Hammond (seen in Dominion through archived footage), Sam Neill portrays world-renowned palaeontologist Alan Grant.

Arriving on Isla Nublar with then partner Ellie Sattler in 1993's Jurassic Park, his lofty prehistoric dig ambitions quickly turned to disaster by fighting off T-Rex tyrants and raptors like there’s no tomorrow.

Absent from the second installation of The Lost World, he returned for Jurassic Park III, navigating his near PTSD and open disdain for dinosaurs. While we saw him grapple with more traumatic events back on the island (and rediscover his love for dinos), we don’t know much about what happened to him afterwards.

Omar Sy as Barry Sembène

After sitting out 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Lupin star Omar Sy returns for Dominion as Barry, Owen's raptor-training assistant.

After helping to stop the rampaging Indominus Rex, Barry was attacked by lead Raptor Blue until Owen called the dinosaur off, and the Frenchman was able to escape. He was later evacuated with the rest of the tourists. Jurassic World's Jake Johnson was also due to return in Dominion, but had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.

Isabella Sermon as Maisie Lockwood

Newly adopted by Owen and Claire, Fallen Kingdom's Maisie is back in Dominion, once again played by British actor Isabella Sermon.

The dinosaur-loving granddaughter of John Hammond's former business partner Sir Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell) was revealed to be a clone of Lockwood's daughter, and was the reason that Lockwood and Hammond fell out.

Campbell Scott as Dr. Lewis Dodgson

"Dodgson, Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here!" This minor character only appeared in one short but memorable scene in 1993's Jurassic Park giving Wayne Knight's IT saboteur Dennis Nedry the shaving foam embryo container, and will make a return for Dominion.

Actor Cameron Thor has been replaced by Campbell Scott as the CEO of rival tech firm Biosyn, as Thor is currently serving prison time.

Justice Smith as Franklin Webb

Detective Pikachu star Justice Smith is back as Franklin Webb, a systems analyst at the Dinosaur Protection Group run by Claire Dearing.

Franklin was part of the team that returned to Isla Nublar in Fallen Kingdom to rescue Blue, before escaping the island when the volcano erupted. He worked to help the captured dinosaurs at Lockwood Manor, and eventually played a part in releasing them into the wild, setting up the events of Dominion.

Franklin's DPG co-hort Dr. Zia returns for Jurassic World: Dominion, with Mexican actor Daniella Pineda back in the role. She was central to the action in the previous movie and was part of the group involved with releasing the dinosaurs into the wild.

Jurassic World Dominion, lands in cinemas on 10 June.
