Justice League director Zack Snyder — the hero we deserve and need right now — released a photo on Saturday of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon standing next to the Bat-Signal.

The black and white photo was tweeted out on Batman Day just days after Snyder released a first look at Batman in his Batsuit on Wednesday.

The core cast in the Justice League film includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Ezra Miller will play the Flash, and Jason Momoa will also star as Aquaman.

Snyder previously directed Batman v. Superman, which, despite being almost universally panned by critics, was a huge hit at the box office.

The director is also known for working on 300, in 2006, Watchmen in 2009, and Man of Steel in 2013. He’s also set to take charge of a second Justice League film, which is scheduled for 2019.

The trailer for Justice League debuted at San Diego Comic-Con this summer to a room of adoring fans. Between a heavy focus on Miller’s Flash and leaving room for silliness — Batman turns to Aquaman and asks “I hear you can talk to fish?” — the film seems set on communicating that it will not be quite so gloomy and doomy as Snyder’s last contribution.

Justice League will hit theaters Nov. 17, 2017.
