New reports from the set of ‘Justice League’ have yielded tons of new information about Zack Snyder’s follow up to ‘Batman v Superman’.

Here’s a summary of what we’ve learned from the various reports across the web.

- ‘Justice League’ is a standalone film, it’s no longer being talked about as a two-parter

- It’ll be lighter in tone than ‘Batman v Superman’

- Ezra Miller’s Flash will provide much of the comic relief

- Flash’s initial costume is more armour-like and made from NASA materials, but he later opts a more traditional sleek Flash costume built by Wayne Tech

- Ray Fisher’s Cyborg costume is completely CGI

- Jason Momoa’s Aquaman wears jeans

- The film has a new logo - see below

- And an official synopsis: “Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

- The story will revolve around the pursuit of the “three Mother Boxes”, one from Earth, one from Atlantis, and one from the Amazonians

- Batman is more optimistic this time around and is assembling the Justice League in honour of Superman

- Superman doesn’t feature in the early part of the film

- But, he does return with “longer hair”

- Steppenwolf is the key villain, but Darkseid and his parademons also feature

- Lex Luthor will return in some capacity

- Ben Affleck IS directing a solo Batman movie at some point

- Batman’s suit will get an upgrade, as will the Batmobile - see new image above

- Bruce Wayne will build the Flying Fox, a transporter for the Justice League, which has a gunner station operated by Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy irons)

- Batman has a new subterranean vehicle - the Night Crawler - designed by his father

- Willem Defoe is playing Aquaman’s mentor Vulko

- ‘Justice League’ is being shot on film

What’s interesting about this info-burst from Warner Bros. is the timing. Every now and again movie journalists are invited to visit the sets of upcoming films - it’s one of the best privileges of the job - but most of the time the reports are embargoed until close to release.

Our ‘Suicide Squad’ set visit happened in summer 2015, but was published last week. The fact that the set visit reports are being published now, well over a year ahead of the film’s November 2017, suggests the studio is keen to get some good positive PR out there following the mixed reception to ‘Batman v Superman’.

Expect the publicity machine to rumble on loudly until November 2017.
