Justice League Villain Reportedly Revealed

Following the tepid release of ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ all Warner Bros. can do now regarding their DC Extended Universe is look to the future.

Thankfully they’ve got a lot to keep track of, with ‘Suicide Squad’ due out later this summer, ‘Wonder Woman’ having recently wrapped, and ‘Justice League’s’ production now in full swing, too.

Obviously the threat in ‘Justice League’ needs to be rather enormous so that Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman, and The Flash all have a challenge.

And it’s now been revealed, courtesy of Birth.Movies.Death, that the character that’s been tasked with this responsibility is Steppenwolf.

The appearance of Darkseid in one of the many ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ dream sequences had left some moviegoers to assume that the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips would indeed go toe-to-toe with the ‘Justice League’ in the ensemble blockbuster.

However a freshly revealed ‘Batman V Superman’ deleted scene debuted Steppenwolf, and it’s now been reported that this was just a precursor to his extended involvement in ‘Justice League’. You can check out the deleted scene below.

Steppenwolf’s role in ‘Justice League’ is likely to just be a stepping stone to Darkseid, though, as the New Gods member is actually Darkseid’s uncle, plus he’s the military leader of Apokolips.

However, the pair are far from close and repeatedly come into conflict in the comics. In fact, the pair might even be using Earth as their battle ground in ‘Justice League’.

It’s still been insisted that Darkseid will be involved in ‘Justice League Part One’ when it’s released in 2017. But the latest revelation suggests that his full villainous antics will only unfold in 2019’s ‘Justice League Part 2′.

It’s very much up in the air if Zack Snyder will still be there to oversee it, though.
