Justice League's Snyder Cut is finally being released, this is not a drill!
Ever since the release of the theatrical version, which comprised original director Zack Snyder's footage with reshoots helmed by Joss Whedon, fans have demanded that Warner Bros #releasethesnydercut. Even the cast joined the rallying calls.
Well, now it's officially happening. Well, next year it's happening.
"I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Bros for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realised," Snyder said in a statement. "Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the Snyder Cut movement for making this a reality."
Warner Media Entertainment's Chairman Robert Greenblatt added: "Since I got here 14 months ago, the chant to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has been a daily drumbeat in our offices and inboxes. Well, the fans have asked, and we are thrilled to finally deliver."
Justice League's Snyder Cut will be released on streaming service HBO Max in 2021. More on this story to follow.
