Karen Gillan: Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Explores ‘Sisterly Relationship Between Gamora And Nebula’

Those of you who saw ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ will know fully well that Karen Gillan’s Nebula managed to survive at the conclusion to the Marvel mega-hit.

James Gunn has made no bones about the fact that the Scottish actress will be returning for the sequel, which he has been hard at work on as its writer and director pretty much since the very second he concluded work on the original.

Karen Gillan has now provided an update on ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’, admitting that she recently received the script and has already had a chance to look through it.

She didn’t stop there though, because Karen Gillan also offered up a tiny preview of what we can expect to see in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’, explaining to Comic Book Resources that it will explore Nebula’s relationship with Zoe Saldana’s Gamora.

Asked what excited her about returning for the sequel, Karen Gillan explained, “I think what I’m really excited about is it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we’re going to see a little bit more of that, and it’s going to be a bit more fished out.”

It was pretty clear in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ that Gamora and Nebula weren’t overly close. What with the fact that they had an almighty tussle at the end of the film that made every other sibling scrap look like a kiss and a cuddle. However what else do you expect when they both have Thanos as their adoptive father?

From the sound of things, everyone has their hands on the script for ’Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2’ now. So we can expect further details regarding the impending blockbuster to be revealed in drips and drabs when the cast are interviewed. Just don’t trust anything that comes out of Bradley Cooper’s mouth.

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 5, 2017.
