If there's one thing we can say for sure about Kate Middleton's hair preferences, it's that the woman knows her way around a highlight or two.

From chunky caramel pieces, ones to halo highlights, beachy blonde transformations to honey blonde hair, she spent 2020 reinventing her look with the help of peroxide.

So it'd be reasonable to expect her latest hair transformation would include some sort of blonde, caramel or beachy element - especially as we cling to the hope that spring is round the corner.

However, it seems that K-Mid has surprised us all and ditched the highlights all together, sticking to the brunette, classic look that she's famous for.

Kate participated in a video call this weekend with charity Bereavement Support, chatting with services such as Just 'B', who provide support for "those coping with the loss of colleagues, loved ones, and people they care for".

And though Kate's hair is pulled back into a ponytail for the occasion (making it hard to tell what colour her lengths are), it looks a lot like she has opted for chocolate brown again of late.

Kate paired the look with a chic grey check blazer complete with black trim, a subtle smoke-nude hybrid eye look, and shiny barely-there lip colour.

The call also gave eagle-eyed viewers a glimpse of the inside of Anmer Hall, the Royal Couple's Country Home - complete with cute framed pics, house plants and a gigantic mirror.
