Kate Winslet Agrees Rose Could Have Prevented Jack Dying In Titanic

Why did Rose let Jack drown in ‘Titanic’ when there was plenty of room left on that floating door?

Fans have been pointing out the spacious flotsam for years, and now Kate Winslet - who played Rose opposite Leondardo DiCaprio’s Jack - has revealed she agrees.

“I agree!” said Winselt when asked by Jimmy Kimmel. “I think he could have actually fitted on that bit of door.” You can see a large bulk of the interview here.

Recently Winslet has been reunited with her good friend DiCaprio on the awards season circuit, sending fans into raptures whenever they hugged.

Both have been nominated numerous times in recent months; Winslet for a supporting role in 'Steve Jobs’ and DiCaprio for his lead role in 'The Revenant’.

“People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which, you know, at the end of the day, that’s so lovely, isn’t it?” Winslet said. “It’s been 20 years, and people still get such a kick out of it. It’s really quite endearing. And we do laugh about it.

“We were giggling about it last night [at the SAG Awards]. I was like, my god, can you actually believe that people just get so overwhelmed by the Jack and Rose thing.”
