Katie Piper has shared an update from her hospital bed after undergoing eye surgery.
The 37-year-old TV presenter and mental health campaigner has undergone multiple operations to reconstruct her face and restore her vision after she was the victim of an acid attack by an ex-boyfriend in 2008.
After her latest op, Piper posted a picture on Instagram showing her sitting up and smiling in her hospital bed.
“Thanks for all your messages,” she wrote.
“I’m in hospital recovering from my recent eye operation, everything went well,” she said, also thanking her doctors.

Piper was previously in hospital in July, when she had surgery to graft new skin onto her eyelid.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine at the time she said the operation was “a relief” as her eye had been getting infected a lot.
Fellow celebrities such as Fearne Cotton and Michelle Visage were among those to post messages after Piper’s latest procedure.
“Love and good vibes to you always wonderful woman,” said Cotton, while Visage called Piper a “sweet angel”.
Singer Kimberley Walsh said she was “sending love” and Peter Andre posted: “We are thinking of you.”
Piper rose to fame following her acid attack after waiving her right to anonymity to help raise awareness for burns victims.
The model has two daughters aged two and six with carpenter husband Richard Sutton.
