Katie Price has been charged with drink-driving following her arrest in early October. The 40-year-old former glamour model was charged by postal requisition last week, two months after her arrest in south London on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Price is now due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 January. If found guilty, she could serve up to six months in prison.

The mother of five allegedly crashed her bright pink Range Rover into a hedge during the early hours of October 10 in south east London after attending the 30th birthday party of her ex-boyfriend Kris Boyson.

Held at Plumstead Police Station for less than 24 hours, Boyson was also pictured at the station. Price is believed to have been released that afternoon.

At her time of arrest, Katie Price was undergoing a 28-year-day outpatient treatment rehab program at The Priory for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

This has been a turbulent year for Price. Once believed to be worth upwards of £40 million, she narrowly avoided bankruptcy this month and is reportedly desperate to sell her £2 million Sussex mansion. Price was forced to prove in court that she had an adequate debt repayment plan of a £22,000 tax bill.

She was also banned from driving for six months in February after driving 60mph on the 50mph on the A24. She reportedly handed herself into the police during this period for breaking the ban to take her disabled son Harvey to the hospital.

Then in May she announced her separation from her third husband Kieran Hayler, who she has two children with, Jett, 4, and Bunny, 5.
