Katie Price gives update on Harvey's condition: He's a 'fighter'

Katie Price has said son Harvey is a “fighter” as she revealed she cannot be his bedside due to coronavirus restrictions.

The reality star’s 18-year-old son – who has a number of underlying health conditions – was admitted to Epsom Hospital on Sunday night with a high temperature and struggling to breathe and has been tested for COVID-19.

Price told her 2.2 million Instagram followers: “Hey Thank you for all your messages , I can confirm Harvey still in intensive care , he is more comfortable, it’s hard as due to limited visiting hours and covid I can’t be by his bed side , but he is being brave and strong , and able to face time him , I’ve let him know he has so much love and support and thank you.”

Price, 42, had previously written: “despite claims, he has not got Covid like reported”, but this line has since been deleted.

Yahoo UK has contacted her representative for comment.

Harvey – who has Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes obesity, and is autistic and partially blind – has been tested for COVID-19.

Price’s representative said previously: "He's had the test because it's routine and not because they're worried that's what has caused him to go back into hospital and Katie remains calm.”

Harvey – whose estranged father is the former footballer Dwight Yorke – was previously admitted to hospital at the end of June after he complained of chest pains that felt “like needles”.

Price is also mother to son Junior, 14, and daughter Princess, 13, with first husband Andre, as well as six-year-old Jett and five-year-old Bunny with third husband Kieran Hayler.

Price’s ex-fiance Kris Boyson, who she dated for a year before their split last November, shared a message of support on his Instagram Stories.

He wrote: "No matter what happens in the past, I wish my little mate a speedy recovery".

He added: "HP" alongside a black heart emoji.

Price’s first husband Peter Andre has said he is “praying” for Harvey.
