A man who refused to be disturbed from eating his chips while a huge brawl erupted around him in a kebab shop has been hailed as an internet hero.
Chris Hill was filmed minding his own business in Ken’s Kebabs on Albert Road in Portsmouth on Friday night while chaos reigned around him.
The 52-year-old father and facilities manager had popped into the kebab shop after going to the pub.
In footage posted on Twitter, he sits on a table impassively munching on his chips with his headphones plugged in while a brawl ensues.
The brawl involved a number of men, many of whom appeared to be trying to stop the fight.
But Mr Hill was not fazed by the fighting, preferring to get on with his meal.
He said he was listening to Capital Radio on his headphones.
“I turned to see a man and shop worker throwing things at each other and then this tall guy kicked the food counter,” Mr Hill told the Mail Online.
“I thought about moving at one point but I was enjoying my kebab and chips… although the chips weren't very nice.”
The 57-second clip has been viewed more than 13 million times on Twitter.
