"She’s probably pretty good on camera," the host said of the 'Poor Things' actress
Jennings, the former Jeopardy! champion turned host, appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday and was asked by co-host Mark Consuelos if he had heard that the Poor Things star, 35, recently revealed she applies to appear on the game show every year.
"Yeah, she wants to be on —and she doesn’t want to be on [Celebrity Jeopardy]," Jennings, 49, shared during his appearance. "She wants to be on real, original recipe Jeopardy! I mean, that’s a hard show."
"We would take her in a heartbeat," he added.
When Kelly Ripa asked Jennings whether the long-running game show would require Stone to audition for an appearance, he said Stone "would have to go through the same tests" as other contestants.
"We no longer make people go to the mall or to a hotel to audition for the show," he said, while explaining that potential Jeopardy! contestants can audition online now. "I think she might have a leg up, though. She’s probably pretty good on camera."
Stone first revealed her long-held desire to compete on the long-running game show during an appearance on the Variety Awards Circuit podcast. "I apply every June," she said during the podcast, adding, "I don't want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy! I want to earn my stripes."
"You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I've never gotten on the show," Stone said, noting during the interview that she watches the show "every single night" and tracks her answers for each question.

On top of campaigning to appear on Jeopardy!, Stone is coming off two recent awards season wins at the 2024 Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards for her performance as Bella Baxter in Poor Things. She also won a Globe as a producer on the movie when it won for best picture in a musical or comedy on Jan. 7.
Stone is also nominated for Poor Things at multiple upcoming awards shows, including the 2024 BAFTA Awards and the SAG Awards. The movie, her latest collaboration with filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, is expected to receive multiple nominations at the upcoming 96th Academy Awards when nominations are released Tuesday.
"Yorgos, I don't know what I could say to you that I haven't said to you already," Stone said in her acceptance speech at the Globes. "But I will forever be grateful that we met. Forever. And playing Bella was unbelievable."
