Kerry Katona has said her son is “grounded for life” after he put superglue in her daughters’ hair.
The 39-year-old mother-of-five admitted she was “in bits” after coming home to discover 11-year-old Max has put superglue in the hair of his sisters Heidi, 12, and five-year-old Dylan-Jorge, known as DJ.
Katona - who is currently starring in pantomime in East London - revealed on Instagram: "So, I've got home to find out not only is it Heidi with superglued hair, all of DJ's hair is matted to her head. I don't know what to do, guys. Nightmare.”
She added: "Honestly head is battered! My poor girls and their hair!!! Really haven't slept a wink!! Gonna take them to A&E I think just to be on the safe side."
With her children due back at school Katona - who is suffering from a heavy cold and sore throat despite being due to appear on stage as the evil queen in Sleeping Beauty - spent her day off using baby oil to remove the glue from her daughters’ hair, only to then find she could not wash the baby oil out.
She told her 594k Instagram followers: “I got the glue out of the girls’ hair with baby oil and patience. Max is grounded for the rest of his life. I took his Xbox off him, his phone off him, his TV off him. Max plays up when I have to work away, I get that, but he should know right from wrong. If that had gone in the girls’ eyes they could have been blinded.”
Katona then appealed for tips on washing baby oil out of hair saying: “Now we can’t get the baby oil out. We’ve washed it - it’s like a chip bag.”
She added: “Real mums - this is what we look like. No airbrushing. Work, housework, kids, tiredness - this is what we look like!”
Katona has five children, Molly, 18, and Lilly-Sue, 16, from her marriage to Westlife’s Brian McFadden, Heidi and Max with second husband Mark Croft and DJ with her late third husband George Kay.
She is due to appear in panto at the Kenneth More Theatre in Iford opposite X Factor finalist and CBBC presenter Lauren Platt as Princess Aurora until the end of the week.
