Yancy Butler has signed up to appear in Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Walls.
The US TV star will reprise her role as the mother of teenager Chris, aka Red Mist, played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and wife of crime boss Frank D'Amico, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Not much is known about the plot of the sequel to the hit comic book movie, but at the end of the first film D'Amic, played by Mark Strong, was shot out of a window by Kick-Ass and exploded.
It has been rumoured Red Mist will be out for revenge in the follow-up.
The sequel - which begins shooting in Toronto, Canada in September - will be directed by Jeff Wadlow, although Matthew Vaughn - who directed the first film - is still on board as producer. Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz are reprising their roles of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl respectively and Christopher will return as Red Mist.
Donald Faison and John Lequizamo have also joined the cast.
Yancy is best known for starring in the cult TV show Witchblade.
