Kirsten Dunst's new movie Civil War gets runtime confirmed
The runtime for A24's upcoming action film Civil War, starring Kirsten Dunst, has been confirmed.
The film is set to follow Dunst as a journalist making her way across a divided America in the near future; so divided, in fact, that a fully blown civil war between states has broken out.
Despite previous reports pinning the movie's run time at over three hours long, the studio, A24, has confirmed to Variety that the flick will last a standard 109 minutes (an hour and 49 minutes).

The first trailer for Civil War debuted a suitably destructive/destroyed America, with Dunst's team of journalists navigating the once-great states.
"Citizens of America, the so-called Western forces of Texas and California have suffered a very great defeat at the hands of the United States military," Nick Offerman's (The Last of Us) President of the splintered country says over images of soldiers storming what appears to be the White House, an attack helicopter approaching the Washington Monument and Dunst's group being asked,"What kind" of Americans they are.
The film's official logline reads: "In the near future, a team of journalists travel across the United States during a rapidly escalating civil war that has engulfed the entire nation."

Civil War is directed by Alex Garland (best known for Annihilation, Ex Machina, and Men), and stars Wagner Moura alongside Dunst and Offerman.
Joining them are Jesse Plemons (Killers of the Flower Moon), Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Sonoya Mizuno (Devs).
Yellowstone actor Jefferson White, Watcher's Karl Glusman, Beau Is Afraid's Stephen McKinley Henderson and The Walking Dead: World Beyond star Alexa Mansour round out the cast.
Civil War will be released in UK and US cinemas on April 26, 2024.
