Yahoo Movies Lady Gaga Is Having a "Harder Time Letting Go" of 'A Star Is Born'
Lady Gaga is reportedly having "a harder time letting go" of A Star Is Born and "feels things very deeply," a source told Us Weekly.
Her co-star and director Bradley Cooper is reportedly more ready to "drop the act."
Although the movie's over, Cooper acknowledges Gaga as a "friend for life."
Lady Gaga might not be ready to say goodbye to A Star Is Born just yet. It's been a week and a half after she and Bradley Cooper lit up the Oscars stage with an intimate performance of "Shallow," but the singer "has a harder time letting go and feels things very deeply," a source tells Us Weekly.
"Gaga and Bradley have insane chemistry and really got into their roles when filming," the insider also told the outlet. Cooper, who both directed and starred in the film, did a lot of preparation for his role as rockstar Jackson Maine, but he's reportedly "ready to drop the act" now that awards season is over.
Cooper even told Stephen Colbert last month that "Jackson's gone." He added, likely to the disappointment of A Star Is Born fans, "I'm not gonna try to get him back." He also explained that he'd do his Oscars performance with his regular voice rather than his character's low twang.
Although Gaga and Cooper's roles as Ally and Jackson may be put to rest, their friendship lives on. The director told People that he "made a friend for life" with his co-star.
"As great as this movie was, the thing that I think I’ll take away forever is the relationship I have with her because she is an incredible person," he added. "I’m very lucky to have worked with her."

Gaga also honored her and Cooper's special bond in a heartfelt Instagram post the day after the Oscars. "Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius," she wrote, captioning a shot from their "Shallow" performance.
