LaLiga side make last-ditch attempt to sign Mason Greenwood; Man Utd are ‘running out of options’
Getafe are reportedly plotting a late loan offer for Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood after a move to Lazio collapsed.
The 21-year-old forward has been cleared to leave Old Trafford after an internal investigation into his actions following his arrest for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault back in January 2022.
While those charges were ultimately dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February this year, Man Utd have ultimately decided it best for Greenwood to continue his career elsewhere.
As reported by TEAMtalk, Lazio were close to signing Greenwood but instead decided to prioritise a deal for Manchester City youngster Oscar Bobb.
As a result, Greenwood’s representatives are working hard on finding him an alternative move away from Old Trafford before the transfer window closes.

Getafe plot late swoop for Greenwood
According to transfer journalist John Cross via the Mirror, Getafe ‘trying’ to do a last minute loan deal for Greenwood.
The report claims that Lazio saw their attempts to sign him collapse after failing to reach an agreement with Manchester United.
Getafe only want to do a loan and Man Utd would prefer to sell him permanently, but they are ‘running out of options.’
With that in mind, it will be interesting to see if the LaLiga club can agree a deal with the Red Devils before the transfer window slams shut.
