Lego Reveals First Look at ‘The Simpsons’ Minifigures

Lego and 20th Century Fox Consumer Products have revealed the look of the 16 minifigures the companies will release to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Simpsons.”

The line of figures will go on sale May 1, with each character — including Bart Simpson and his skateboard and Marge Simpson and an issue of “Donut Fancy” (see below) — priced at $3.99 each.

The release of the characters in Lego form are timed around the special Lego-themed episode of “The Simpsons” that will air May 4 on Fox.

It took two years to produce the episode, titled “Brick Like Me,” producers said. The episode, which will be the show’s 550th, will have Homer wake up in a world where Springfield and its residents are all made of Lego pieces.

Lego has already released a version of the Simpsons’ house, priced at $255.
