Lewis Hamilton hangs out with Leonardo DiCaprio at NBA megastar clash
Lewis Hamilton is enjoying some time off between races as he was spotted sitting courtside at an LA Lakers game.
It appears Hamilton has stuck around in the US following the recent race in Miami and has travelled across the country in time for the NBA game between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.
Hamilton was among a number of celebrities sitting courtside at the Crypto.com arena and was spotted rubbing shoulders with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson and Michael B. Jordan.
The seven-time World Champion was a few seats down from DiCaprio and the pair were also sat with DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg.
In the sixth game of their playoff semi-final match-up, LeBron James’ Lakers beat Steph Curry’s Warriors 122-101 to win the fixture 4-2 over the six games.
Posting on his personal Instagram later, Hamilton said “great game, great energy” alongside an image of him sitting courtside.
Hamilton is certainly not someone unfamiliar with mixing with some of the biggest celebrities in the world and there is a great interest in a movie produced by the Mercedes driver and starring Brad Pitt.
Ahead of the race in Miami, more details emerged about the film including a portion of which will be filmed during the British Grand Prix in July.

Pitt will reportedly be driving an F2-style car around the Silverstone circuit but not during a time when there are actual F1 cars and drivers on track.
“I’ve seen a lot of stories that say there’s gonna be an F1 car driven by Brad Pitt of the grid itself,” said Sky Sports F1’s lead commentator David Croft.
“And as much as I’m sure we’d love to see Brad Pitt driving an F1 car at Silverstone in the British Grand Prix, that is not the case.
“He won’t be driving an F1 car, likely an F2 or F3 car and it’s only going to be driven that weekend at the British Grand Prix when no sessions are taking place.
“So he won’t be out on the track, nobody will be out on the track whilst there’s an official session taking place.”
That car is reportedly being made by Hamilton’s team Mercedes.
The film is currently untitled but some info has been released about just who will star in it. Alongside Pitt, Irish actress Kerry Condon, who most recently won a BAFTA for her role in The Banshees of Inisherin, is also listed among the cast according to IMDb as is British actor Damson Idris.
